The website is nujimarketing.com, and you can reach us about data protection at niko.kuosmanen@nujimarketing.com.

If you have questions about how your personal data is processed or want to exercise your data protection rights, you can write to this address. We have not appointed a separate data protection officer.

What personal data do we process?

We process only the personal data that the purposes described in this policy require.

When you contact us or are our customer, we process your name, your company name, your email address and your phone number if you give it to us. We also process the content of your message and information related to quote requests, projects, the customer relationship, invoicing and contracts.

On the website we process technical log data, such as your IP address, browser, device and time of visit, as well as data related to cookies and your consent choices. We process analytics data only if you have given your consent.

Please do not send sensitive information through the form, such as health information, your personal identity code or payment card details, because we do not need them.

What do we use personal data for?

We use the data to answer enquiries and quote requests, manage the customer relationship, plan and carry out projects, and deliver our services and customer support.

We also need the data for invoicing, bookkeeping and other statutory obligations. In addition, we use it to make sure the website works and is secure, and to develop the website and our services.

We measure the use of the website with Google Analytics 4 if you have given your consent. We send marketing messages when the law allows it or you have given your consent.

Legal bases for processing

Processing is based on preparing or performing a contract when you request a quote, are a customer or the processing relates to delivering a service.

Processing is based on legitimate interest when we manage the customer relationship, answer enquiries, develop our services, look after the security of the website or contact businesses in an appropriate way. Our interest in these cases is to stay in touch with customers and businesses our services suit, and to keep the website working and secure.

A legal obligation is the basis when the processing relates to, for example, bookkeeping or taxation.

Processing is based on consent when we use analytics cookies or another feature that requires consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before that.

Website contact form and call booking

When you send a message through the contact form, we process the information you give so that we can reply, look into the matter and, if needed, start a customer relationship. The form also records the page you sent the message from, the page you came to the website from, and the time it was sent.

The basis for replying to your message is preparing a contract or our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry. The checkbox on the form confirms that you have read this policy, and it is not consent.

When you book a call through the website's Book a call link, your name and email address are stored in the Google Calendar booking. The booking form runs on Google's service, and Google is also responsible for its data protection.

Do you have to provide your data?

The form fields Name, Email and Message are required, because otherwise we cannot reply to your message. Giving your phone number is optional. Accepting analytics cookies is optional, and you can use the website without them.

Every decision about you is made by a person: we do not make automated decisions based on your personal data that would have legal or other significant effects on you, and we do not profile you for such decisions.

B2B direct marketing and prospecting

We send targeted messages about our marketing and search engine optimisation services to representatives of businesses. If you have received such a message from us, this section applies to you.

What data we process

We process the company's name, website, city, industry and legal form, the contact person's first name and work email address, information on whether the address works, and the source the address was obtained from. We also process the message history, meaning when a message was sent, whether it was answered and whether further contact was declined.

From October 2026 onwards, messages go only to limited companies, limited and general partnerships, and cooperatives. They are not sent to sole traders.

Where the data comes from

The data has not been collected from you directly. It has been collected from public sources, namely business listings on Google Maps and the companies' own websites. The legal form is checked from the open business information service of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.

Purpose and legal basis

The purpose is to introduce our services to businesses that may benefit from them.

The legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation). We have assessed that the processing does not override the recipient's interests: we process only business work email addresses, we send messages only to businesses whose industry our services relate to, we send at most one reminder to the same address, and we do not get in touch again until six months have passed. You can stop further contact with a single reply. The assessment is available on request.

How to opt out

Reply to the message you received and ask us to stop contacting you, for example with the words “remove me from the list”. You can also send the request to niko.kuosmanen@nujimarketing.com.

Opting out is free of charge, and we do not ask for a reason. We remove you from the target group without delay and afterwards keep only a record that you must not be contacted, so that your opt-out also applies to later campaigns.

Retention period

Prospecting data is kept for no more than 24 months from the most recent contact. If the contact leads to a customer relationship, the data is kept according to the retention periods for customer relationships. The opt-out record is kept indefinitely.

Recipients

We use Google Maps to find addresses, Reoon Email Verifier to check that addresses work (it deletes checked addresses after 15 days), a Supabase database in the EU to store the data, and Google Workspace with the mail merge tool Yet Another Mail Merge (YAMM) to send emails. Transfers outside the EU are described in the section “Is data transferred outside the EU or EEA?”.

Your rights

You have the right to object to the processing, to ask for your data to be erased, and to find out what data we process about you. These rights and how to use them are described in the section “Your rights as a data subject”.

Cookies and visitor analytics

We measure the use of the website with Google Analytics 4. For example, we can see how many visitors the website has, where they come from and which pages are read.

Your consent is managed with CookieYes. Your choice and a random identifier are stored in your browser in the cookie cookieyes-consent and sent to CookieYes's server so that your choice can be demonstrated, and CookieYes also receives your IP address when the page loads.

Analytics cookies are stored only if you give your consent. Before consent, the website sends no measurement data to Google.

You can change your choice at any time in the website's cookie settings. The names and lifetimes of the cookies are listed in the cookie policy.

Who may receive personal data?

Personal data is not sold to third parties. We use service providers that process data on our behalf and only for agreed purposes.

Our website runs on a hosting service with its server in Helsinki, and the contact form is WPForms. Call booking runs on Google Calendar, and our email goes through Google Workspace.

Website use is measured with Google Analytics 4, and cookie consents are managed with CookieYes. We manage customers, leads and projects with a Supabase database in the EU and the Todoist task manager. Our work files are backed up on GitHub, and we use Holvi for invoicing.

We prepare messages, reports and quotes with Anthropic's AI tool Claude.

Data may be disclosed to authorities if the law requires it.

Is data transferred outside the EU or EEA?

Some of our service providers may process data outside the EU or EEA. Google (Workspace, Analytics, Maps and Calendar) participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. YAMM processes data on Google's cloud platform, and the transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Consents are managed by CookieYes Limited in the United Kingdom, for which the EU has adopted an adequacy decision, and its agreement also includes standard contractual clauses. Anthropic, GitHub and Todoist process data in the United States, and Reoon, which we use to check addresses, may process data outside the EU.

You can get more information about the safeguards from niko.kuosmanen@nujimarketing.com.

How long is personal data kept?

We keep personal data only for as long as the purposes described in this policy or legal requirements call for.

Enquiries are kept for no more than 24 months, unless they lead to a customer relationship or handling the matter requires keeping them longer.

Data related to the customer relationship, contracts and projects is kept for the duration of the customer relationship and afterwards for as long as liabilities, complaints, bookkeeping or legal requirements call for. Bookkeeping data is kept in line with the Finnish Accounting Act, meaning accounting records for ten years and vouchers for six years from the end of the financial year.

Prospecting data is kept for no more than 24 months from the most recent contact, and the opt-out record is kept indefinitely.

The consent cookie is kept for one year and analytics cookies for about 13 months. More details are in the cookie policy.

How is the data protected?

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures, such as limiting access rights, using secure systems and encrypted connections, and agreeing on the processing of personal data with our service providers.

Only the people and service providers who need the data for the purposes described in this policy have access to it.

Your rights as a data subject

You have the right to be informed about the processing of your personal data and to see the data stored about you. You can ask for incorrect data to be corrected, for data to be erased or for processing to be restricted, and you can object to processing in certain situations.

You can also ask for your data to be transferred from one system to another if the conditions are met, and withdraw your consent if the processing is based on it.

To exercise your rights, write to niko.kuosmanen@nujimarketing.com, and we will reply within one month.

If you believe your personal data has been processed unlawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the website, our services, our tools or the processing of personal data change, and the latest version is published on this page.

Tietosuojaseloste Seloste on päivitetty 8.10.2026.
